Celebrate greatness! Venerate service! Recognize faithfulness and worthiness!
There are so many people worthy of recognition and celebration amongst us; people who dedicate their lives, their entire selves to service and to a cause; people who are worthy of our gratitude, our emulation.
Often, these selfless souls are not recognized by states and governments, and many times they are not even noticed or thanked in a tangible way by those that they serve. We wish to correct this.
Virtual Monuments is a project by the Principality Tribe of Aarsiisii to thank and celebrate the unsung heroes amongst us. Through our efforts, we seek to celebrate greatness, venerate service, and recognize faithfulness and worthiness.
To achieve our objectives, for every approved recommendation for celebration, veneration and recognition, we create both a virtual monument - a webpage here on our site dedicated to the recommended person or organization that can be shared via email and social media - and a certificate of appreciation and recognition for the worthy candidate signed by His Royal Excellency the Prince Chief Commissioner of Aarsiisii himself.
Along with the webpage and certificate of appreciation and recognition, you receive two physical plaques mailed to you (just cover the shipping!), with the option to purchase additional plaques. Each plaque features a picture of the candidate, a brief description of the candidate's service or achievements, as well as a webpage URL and QR code that anyone who views the plaque can scan to be directed to the candidate's virtual monument page and learn more about them! - These plaques can be mounted anywhere - on columns, gateposts, signposts, walls, archways, trees (you name it!), turning infrastructures and natural features into actual physical monuments linking back to the candidate's virtual monument web page!
We offer our service for $21,000 JMD/$135 USD, just about the price of an annual website renewal fee. Your contribution keeps our site going so we can keep the memories of your loved ones and worthy candidates up for eternity so others may, hopefully, see and emulate, and so make this world a better place. 5% of annual total contributions is also donated yearly to youth development through the Ranger Cadet Combined Corps.
Email us a letter at virtualmonumentwallofhonour@gmail.com stating why you want to nominate a person or organization along with a curriculum vitae or portfolio of their work and at least three recommendations from other persons or organizations.
Lieutenant Commissioner (Hon.) Derrick Robinson is celebrated for his years of service in promoting Jamaican culture as a CariFolk Singer and his over-20-year service in bringing the legacy and heroism of Chief Takyi (Chief Tacky) to national prominence with his barefooted all-island walks. For over 20 years, Derrick created a 'moral spectacle' grabbing the attention of headlines and lobbied consistently for Chief Takyi to be made a national hero, resulting so far in the renaming of the St. Mary Parish Awards as the Chief Takyi Awards, the renaming of Rectory Street in Port Maria to the Chief Takyi Street, and the Declaration of April 8 as Tacky Day by Governor General, His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, and Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment & Sport, the Honourable Olivia Grange.
Derrick Robinson is also recognized for four years of dedicated service on the Board of Directors of the Ranger Cadet Combined Corps in its early years after inception, for which he received Honorary Commission to the rank of Honorary Colonel in the elevated rank of Lieutenant Commissioner.

The late Major (Hon.) Fitz Albert Neil is celebrated for dedicating his life to craft training and development, youth service and education. A Spanish and Craft teacher by training, Fitz Neil has had the distinction of teaching in the primary, secondary, tertiary and vocational levels of education.
As founder and former President of Jamaica Craft Producers Association, co-founder of Wonderful World of Wicker and Wrought Iron (WOWW), and Things Jamaica, Fitz for the most part, single-handedly boosted the weaving, fibre-furniture (wicker, rattan) and basketry craft in Jamaica and the Caribbean, most notably in Barbados.
As one of the early proponents of basketball in Jamaica, sourcing basketball coaches from over the world, and in recognition of his service to the Oxford Baptist Church Youth Fellowship, Fitz received Honorary Commission to the rank of Honorary Major.
